The United States, Armenia and Azerbaijan have launched trilateral technical planning groups to advance the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP), a multimodal transit route.
"PostMedia" reports that a joint statement by the three countries has been published on the US Department of State website.
The groups were launched by US Assistant Secretary of State for European and Eurasian Affairs Brendan Hanrahan, Armenian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Vahan Kostanyan, and Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Elnur Mammadov.
The forum will bring together decision-makers and technical experts from the three countries. The goal is to jointly achieve long-term stability, economic revival, regional connectivity and commercial prosperity. The initiative also highlights the Peace Summit Declaration, adopted on August 8, 2025, with the mediation of US President Donald Trump.
The parties agreed to establish the first two trilateral planning groups. The groups will focus on transport and electricity transmission. They are expected to help resolve complex technical issues and speed up the project's move to the next stages of implementation, including its coordination with other regional infrastructure.
The three countries reaffirmed their commitment to launching all TRIPP modalities soon.
